Coit Tower

One of the San Francisco's oddest landmarks, which also boasts breath-taking views, is Lillie Hitchcock Coit's homage to firemen, Coit Tower. This California State Historic Landmark was constructed in 1933 with $118,000 bequeathed by Lillie to beautify the city and build a monument to honor her firemen buddies.
